You're Hired

I do believe that our lives get better each day. I know that sounds a little ironic from someone who got sacked from her job a few weeks ago. But really, when we look at things from a different perspective – from a Godly perspective – we’ll soon realize that we’ll have it no other way but the way God meant everything to be.

So when I lost my job, I cried. I got depressed. I told God that I hurt inside. I complained and whined that I didn’t deserve to be sacked. After a while, God allowed me to heal. Then I felt sorry that I doubted God’s plans for me. Then I knew what I should do.

I stopped whining and crying and did what I have to. I put my faith in God, and also in myself in the sense that God has given me talents and skills that would be helpful to individuals and businesses that may need my services. I thanked God for the talents and skills He gave me, updated my resume, wrote application letters and put my best foot forward.

And what do you know! I now have a job. It’s a little like my previous job, only there is more room for creativity. In my current job I can speak freely and suggest some ideas which would be beneficial for our team, and it felt good to have my suggestions taken and worked on. I feel valuable. I couldn’t be happier with my new job.

And there is our good Lord for me to thank. Losing my previous job only paved the way for me to have something better.

Thank you, Lord, for all Your blessings.
